Merkel noted the role of the G20 in solving the problems of the global economy
The G20 format is successfully working on important issues of the world economy and development, said German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
"Since the founding of this format, we have shown that together we can better solve the problems of the world economy and development," the chancellor said in a video message, traditionally posted on Saturday on the website of the country's government.
"Germany has benefited from international trade," Merkel added, who will attend the G20 summit in Buenos Aires next week.
The G20 summit in Buenos Aires with the participation of world leaders is scheduled for November 30 and December 1.
According to Merkel, progress has been observed in the topics that were on the agenda of the German G20 chairmanship last year. In particular, these are issues of fighting pandemics, supporting women entrepreneurs and investing in the development of Africa. The theme of digitalization in public life and labor relations has been developed in the framework of the Argentinean chairmanship, Merkel said.
