The costs of business for transporting goods on the territory of the EAEC will be reduced
In the near future, food and non-food products can be transported in one car and across the territory of the Russian Federation, provided that there is no contact of goods, contamination or change in the organoleptic properties of food products.
According to the press service of the ECE, such requirements are prescribed in the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAP) "On food safety" (TR TS 021/2011). However, in Russia at the same time, there are sanitary requirements, according to which separate transportation is obligatory.
Because of this, entrepreneurs are forced to incur additional financial costs. The issue was discussed at the site of the Department for the Functioning of Internal Markets of the Eurasian Economic Commission (ECE), discussed the issue on the ECE site in response to the appeal from the business community.
Representatives of Rospotrebnadzor who took part in the meeting agreed that the technical regulations of the Union have priority over national sanitary rules. The updated rules, the requirements of which are harmonized with the norms of the technical regulations of the EAEC, are in the final stage of approval by authorized bodies. It is assumed that they will be adopted before September 1.
